Live Class Etiquette

These are the TME Academy guidelines for live class sessions:

  • Students and instructors agree to abide by two rules: 1. Be helpful, and 2. Be respectful of people and property, including the class controls.

  • These two guidelines cover all class interaction. Before taking any action, students should ask themselves, “Am I being helpful? Am I being respectful?”

  • Respecting property includes respecting the classroom tools such as discussion threads, the chat box, and the use of the microphone in class.

  • An important rule is: NO USE OF THE CHAT BOX IN LIVE CLASS FOR OFF-TOPIC COMMENTS. This is one of the number one ways class distractions occur so instructors will strictly adhere to this rule.
